How do you learn to use your carving skis more effectively? Have you skied for quite a few years and are unsure about the way that modern skis should feel compared to traditional straight skis? Let Gravity Snowsports help you take advantage of new ski technology and explore the racer in you!
If you want to experience the sensation of speed with stability, and enjoy the feeling of the ski doing some of the work for you, then join us on one of our Carving Clinics. We will help you focus on your skiing skills to allow you to take advantage of the exaggerated geometry of modern skis and carve some clean tracks in the snow by the end of the week. Gravity Carving Clinics are three hours per day, Monday to Friday.
To assess your skiing skills we will start with an on-snow review; this will entail checking your ski equipment, skiing with you, observing, videoing and introducing you to the ski areas. This will be followed by a discussion resulting in a mutually agreed action plan designed to bring you closer to your goal, to be a consistent parallel skier on all on-piste terrain.
Your skill development is at the centre of our coaching programme, which is designed to help you develop a good range of foundation skiing skills. We believe that your success should be measured by your enjoyment and skill, rather than by what type of runs you can tackle.
Gravity Snowsports uses video analysis as an integral part of your coaching course. Video assists your skiing development by allowing you to review and analyse your skiing, recognise your progress and help you to identify areas for development.
