Bedford School Ski Training Programme 2010
Following on from the successful Ski Trials held at SNO!zone Milton Keynes we will be starting our new year with a coaching session on the Tuesday 12th January.
As the sessions progress we will be 'Training you to Train' which will give you a greater understanding of what being a ski racer involves and how to get the most benefit from our training and the most fun from our skiing.
With the Interschools Race being held in early March our training will be gearing up to learning about what makes an effective course inspection and race preperation techniques.
As we move onto the end of the winter season into springtime you will have the opportunity to build your experience and confidence on race day by competing in the Gravity Challenge Race Series (See the Racing Section on our Web Site). Our Races are held once a month on Monday evenings at SNO!zone Milton Keynes. They involve skiing two different Slalom Courses with your combined times counting towards your position. Gravity Coaches will be on hand to help you learn in a friendly competitive environment and we use F.I.S approved Tag Heur Race Timing Systems to ensure fairness and accuracy.
Bedford School Trainees will also be offered the opportunity to join other Gravity Athletes on our summer training programme which includes Day Camps at SNO!zone and trips to Europes best summer skiing glaciers.
